Jean Shrimpton nicknamed ‘The Shrimp’, she was an icon of sixties London possessing some of the gamine features that also made a huge success of the younger Twiggy. She shocked everybody by wearing a daring white shift dress which ended high above her knees, a forerunner of the mini skirt which became a worldwide craze. The fashion trendsetter was also a heart breaker linker to many famous men indcluding David Bailey and Terrance Stamp.

Twiggy Lawson popularily known as Twiggy is a 1960s pop icon known for her large eyes, long eyelashes, and thin build, she is regarded as one of the most famous models of all time.

Clemence Posey has recently become the face of Chloe’s new fragrance along with along with model Anja Rubik and Chloe Sevigny. This French actress style is modern parisian chic.

I was pleasantly surprised by Full Circles s/s 08 womenswear collection. It plays with volume, prints and dynamic shapes, mixing up proportions to suggest a glamorous, boyish sophistication.

Australian designer Alice McCall famous for her flirty frocks, has designed a 9 piece capsule collection for Topshop. Set to hit the shops on the 5th May (put it in you diary) the collection comprises of edgy dress, skirts and cami tops. I cant wait!
Kai Z. Feng, born 1982 in Shanghai, China. Working both in London UK & Shanghai, he is an artist, fashion photographer, and a contemporary art dealer.

Alexandre Herchcovitchs s/s collection although a curiously dark turn for spring managed an original take, mixing classic formalwear elements with punk details and flashes of colour for an added edge. He said of his collection”I want to transform the classic men’s wardrobe, but in a very feminine way, forgetting about the clichés”.

London based designers PPQ have teamed up with Ben Sherman to design 5 dresees inspired by by the music of a different era: sixties mod, seventies rock, eighties ska, nineties Britpop, and this decade’s indie. Dresses cost $300 but unfortunately for me are only available in the Spring St store New York.
Kirsten Dunst has been establishing her place in the style stakes for some time now, but it seems she has really raised her game becoming the face of Mui Muis spring summer campaign.
These boot/sandals from Topshop have a very sophisticated feel, an interesting update on the classic style. Style tip off; Statement Shoes, shoes worth talking about, wedge and gladiator sandals lead the way.
This is a really beautiful shoot from Teen Vogue, highlighting the trend for soft sheer fabrics and feminine shapes this Summer.

Shockingly, six of the seven largest cotton producers have been accused of using child labor in their fields and often pay the children no more than 2 dollars a day for backbreaking work. The environmental justice league has teamed up with top fashion designers Luella Bartley, Katherine Hamnett, Christian Lacroix and Betty Jackson to produce a range of orangic and fairly traded t-shirts for the ‘Pick Your Cotton Carefully’ campaign.
